Is Cruz Tools RoadTech the Best Travel Kit for your Motorcycle?

When I rode motorcycles in the 80’s, all of my bikes came with a small tool kit that fit perfectly under the seat. The kit provided an essential spark plug wrench, screwdriver, pliers and a few odds and ends. Today, my last two motorcycle purchases, a 2016 Triumph Street Twin and a 2018 Triumph Tiger did not come with tool kits. Sure, the Street Twin came with a single allen wrench hid nicely behind the side cover but I would not call that a tool kit.

After purchasing my 2018 Triumph Tiger XRT, I went in search of putting together a toolkit with only the essentials to keep on my bike. During this search, I came across Cruz Tools. Turns out, they make motorcycle specific tool kits in a handy tool roll that easily fits on your bike. Cruz Tools has a kit for most major manufacturers including; BMW, Harley Davidson, KTM, Husqvarna, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Indian, and Triumph.

Quality

Cruz Tools claim their tools are Professional-Grade. The look and feel of the the kit definitely seems to be premium. Each kit comes with a lifetime “No questions asked” warranty. The tool roll, constructed from a heavy canvas, is strong and keeps the tools tightly bundled. Cruz Tool kits are designed, inspected and assembled in the USA. In other words, the tools are not made in the USA.

Price

The motorcycle tool kits cost around $100 at JP Cycles. This is a premium price for a set of premium tools. For me, I’d rather pay more for a quality product that lasts at least as long as I own my motorcycle.

Conclusion

A Cruz Tools RoadTech toolkit is a great investment. The tools included are bike specific and allow you to do minor repairs and scheduled maintenance. If you are looking for a premium toolkit for your motorcycle, the Cruz Tools RoadTech toolkit is the best I could find for my motorcycle.

Research Conducted

2-3 Hours
Much of my research was an attempt at finding a tool roll and adding my own tools. After finding Biker’s Choice, Windzone and Cruz Tools, had ready made tool kits, the decision was easier.
